For acceptable terms of service for a photo sharing website, Flickr's seems like a pretty good standard to live by. Like Flickr, pic.im accounts are also intended for personal use, for people to share photos they themselves created. Your use of pic.im is subject to these basic common-sense guidelines.
Please ...
Play nice, and moderate your content. Do not upload anything that is obviously offensive or pornographic.
Upload content that you have created. Respect the copyright of others, and don't steal photos that other people have shared and dipslay them as your own. If you do this we reserve the right to terminate your account at any time.
Please ...
Don’t use your pic.im account to host web graphics like logos and banners. We will terminate your account and delete all of your photos if we find you using it to host graphic elements of web page designs, icons, smilies, buddy icons, forum avatars, badges, and other non-photographic elements on external web sites.
Please ...
Don’t use pic.im for commercial purposes. If we find you selling products, services, or yourself through on pic.im, we will terminate your account. If you have other open questions about commercial usage of pic.im, please feel free to email us.
And
If you see photos on pic.im that you created, but are being shared by another member, please contact them directly. Be nice, and see if you can work it out. But if that does not work, contact us and we will follow up on it.
We use these tried and true guidelines because they seem reasonable, fair, and simple enough to follow. Please moderate your content responsibly. There are lots of services out there, so if these restrictions don't work for you, perhaps find another one.
Happy sharing!
